Lightest Double Stroller
When looking for a lightweight double-stroller that folds, the size and weight are important aspects to take into consideration. Selecting a stroller that is easy to handle and compact when not when not in use makes it much easier to fit into the trunk of your car and navigate through airport gates and streets.
The best strollers that are lightweight have an easy, light fold and self-standing mechanisms to reduce stress on parent bodies. Many strollers have different seating options and some are able to accommodate car seats for infants.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
Created for families traveling. Lightweight and easy to carry in one hand compact fold. All-terrain wheels, front suspension and multi-position reclining seats allow children to weigh up to 50 lbs. The tray for parents and kids and a large storage basket and a 3-tiered canopy with windows that peek out at the sun provide maximum protection.
The Cloud received one of the lowest scores on our quality tests due to a flimsy feel, hard plastic seats and a design that feels outdated. It's also more expensive than other lightweight strollers, so it's not a good choice when you're looking for a budget option.
Although it's not the tiniest double stroller, it comes with enough features worth a look. Its swiveling wheels make it easy for you to navigate it on flat surfaces. It can also leap over curbs without much effort. The Cloud's low, nearly knee-high handle has a disadvantage. It's not adjustable and it's not adjustable. It's difficult to push when your legs are dangling in that way. And the absence of padding makes it even more difficult.
During testing, we found that the Cloud was easy to set up and use. It's a bit more complicated to close the cloud, however. You have to slide a slider before you push a large white button to get it to collapse. This can be frustrating especially if you're trying to manage kids while doing it.

The Cloud has a small but deep storage basket that can accommodate a medium-sized diaper bag. The basket is narrow and you may have to put something in it to reach the back. The Cloud includes two tray for parents and children with two cup holders each however both are too narrow to hold larger cups or bottles.
Kolcraft is an established family business that has been in existence since 1946. They started by making diapers and crib pads, but now they manufacture various baby products, including highchairs as well as infant car seats. The company is located in Chicago and is an American manufacturer.
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS is an extremely lightweight, minimalist double stroller that's great for traveling. It weighs only 18 lbs and is lighter than some single strollers. It folds flat to make it easy to carry and store. It also has independently reclining seats, as well as large SPF50 sunvisors with peekaboo window. The visors can be adjusted to accommodate kids of different heights. It also features an integrated parking brake with one step and is Disney-sized approved.
The swivel wheel of the Jeep is also great for maneuvering over bumps and uneven terrain. This stroller doesn't accept car seats. Your child must be at minimum six months old and have a good neck control in order to use the front seat. It does have a nice, three panel sun canopy, though each seat comes with its own snack tray and cup holders for the parents.
Another extremely light side-by-side stroller is the Valco Baby Snap Trend. It's a little heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 pounds, but it's thin and slim (26.5 inches wide!) and has a ton of luxurious details that make it perfect for travel. double buggy is easy to fold, very maneuverable, and can easily fit into the overhead compartments and trunks of airplanes.
Like the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double and Mountain Buggy Nano Duo, the Joovy Kooper X2 is another tri-fold, ultralight double stroller. It's pretty similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS, but it has some key distinctions. It's more expensive, but offers a more shady sun canopy and more maneuverability. It has a convenient strap for carrying and can be used by children who weigh up to 44 pounds per seat.
Summer 3D Pac CS+ for infants
If you're seeking a stroller which is lightweight but also loaded with features look no further than Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+. It is not only incredibly lightweight at just 13 lbs but also comes with a ton of storage, including cupholders for both parents and children as well as a sippy-cup pouch for children and a parent's storage pouch and more. This stroller can also be used with a child's chair and comes with a brake with a flip-flop feature that can be easily engaged. This stroller is designed to expand with your child. It can be transformed from a baby stroller to a toddler stroller simply by attaching the car seat adapters (sold separately) and it's suitable for children six months and over.
Another thing to consider about this stroller is that it only runs on swivel wheels and doesn't have locking capabilities which means it won't be the best option for rocky or sloping terrain. It maneuvers well on sidewalks that are paved and other smooth surfaces, though it's a great choice for most families.
This stroller is among the most lightweight double strollers with full-size features in an elegant compact design. It folds easily with one hand and put away in the garage or trunk. It can also be used as a travel stroller and is compatible with most car seats without the need for extra adapters.
In contrast to most strollers that are lightweight, the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ features two seats that can accommodate up to 50 lbs. per seat (100 lbs total). The seats each have a recline that can be adjusted in multiple positions, separate leg rests, and three-panel canopies with flip-out sun visors and windows that can be seen from a distance.
The seats are padded to ensure your baby's comfort and come with a five-point padded safety harness that can be adjusted to three height positions. Each seat has an infant cushion that is ideal for newborns. Parents will appreciate the cup for both parents and children, as well as the holders, a cell phone holder, and a large storage basket. The stroller is also available with the Yoyo+ Board which transforms it into a tandem.
Joovy Kooper X2
The Kooper X2 is an excellent option for parents looking for a lightweight double stroller that can hold two children. Its sling-style seats are comfortable, and they offer the same amount of headroom as other double strollers. This allows kids to sit together. The Kooper X2 is unique in that it has a fully reclined seat, which makes it an ideal choice for naps. Its recline mechanism is simple to operate, but it doesn't go completely flat. Children who are taller may find that they have a dangling leg when sitting in a reclined posture. It also has a big canopy that we found to be more effective in blocking out the sun than other options in our review of the best double strollers.
The stroller is lightweight enough to to move through door frames. This was a major issue with other strollers we tested. It is easy to fold and the handlebars sit close to the ground. The only drawback is its limited storage space, which is cramped when full of kids' toys.

In our lab tests, we look at multiple aspects to determine the ease of use of a double stroller. This includes the ease with which it is possible to fold and set up, how easy it is to adjust the safety harness, and how to open and close the brakes. We also lift and carry the strollers in a similar manner like they would be placed in a trunk and how to put in and remove a baby car seat, if it is needed. We also assessed the strength and durability, as well as whether each product has a parent tray which can be used by both children.
The Joovy Kooper X2 received the highest score in our Strollers Test Program for its ease of use. It also got the top rating in our updated guide to the top double strollers. Its simple-to-use design features a one hand, zero tilt recline, as well as a large canopy that has ventilation mesh that is visible even when it is tilted. There are also individual kid trays, built-in cupholders and zipper pockets for parents, and a large storage basket.
